The reading challenge trophy disappeared just before first period.
1At 7:45, Mr. B placed the silver reading trophy on the front table. Then he stepped into the hallway to greet students.
2Jada entered carrying a poster tube. Eli came in next with muddy shoes after crossing the wet field. Mateo brought a stack of library books. Noor arrived last and noticed a thin trail of mud leading from the doorway to the supply closet.
3When Mr. B returned, the trophy was gone. The closet door was partly open. Inside, the team found the trophy behind a box—and fresh muddy footprints on the floor.
